The Irony of It
I’m not cerebrally gifted nor a Mensa member, but I think creatively, reach for my dreams, help people feel valued, and enjoy laughing. I know what makes me laugh or say WTF! This book is one of my methods of reaching out to others with a niche form of humor (others just call it weird) to create a smile or help others let go of their current stresses, even for a moment. Rereading the book reduces my stress!
This collection of posters represents about a year of searching for visual irony that others found worthy of posting on social media. They are the ones that made me chuckle or belly-laugh. You may find some posters dull and others over the edge, yet you are sure to find several posters that make you laugh. And that’s the point of this book.
If you enjoy the content, you may be like me: Wish I was a genius so I could say it and want to feel like I have above-average intelligence. But, alas, my Mensa friends know I’m not gifted, and they think the whole book is stupid. However, other friends think I’m sharp because I find irony in things they don’t see. They think I’m either a genius or over the edge. But either way, they are impressed – the reaction I was looking for!
These 200+ posters are presented for your contemplation. Some items will make you think. Some will make you laugh. Others will give you ideas about how to mess with your friends’ minds. Or the book will convince you that I am really odd!
