Village Secrets
Characters, Idiosyncrasies, and Quirks
Every little town has its own set of characters, but Opine is different. Characters, idiosyncrasies, and quirks are accepted here as “just a bad day” and seemingly dismissed without comment. Opiners think of the inner lobby at the Post Office as a “safe haven” where they can talk with Hank, the Post Master, about the characters, their secrets, and local concerns. Sometimes villagers’ strange habits leak out in their dealings with Hank, who takes it all in stride. Ask anyone, and they’ll tell you that Hank is the most caring, positive, and proficient Postmaster in the country, and he knows everyone and their secrets!
As the secrets of Opine unfold, you’ll find yourself bonding with the characters and rooting for them. They are sweet yet troubled, and you may find that you worry about them. You might even get a bit anxious in hoping that their dilemmas are resolved and their wounds heal. Even though you can see the most logical solution, you’ll watch some characters choose the tougher paths.
Village Secrets is a fast and entertaining read that gives you a glimpse into the daily life of Opine Village and its residents. Whatever your reaction to the secret romances and practical jokes, you’ll fall in love with the warm, accepting, humble nature of Opiners and how they want the best for everyone in the village, even if some are a bit odd.
